The new Cyrano movie is incredibly sad and moving. But, in the end, the main characters didn’t make me cry. That’s not to say the actors didn’t do a good job; Peter Dinklage was literally made for this role. And while I was incredibly touched by all the characters, I didn’t cry. Not until this motherfucker showed up on screen for a whopping minute and a half to sing about his dying father and his last wishes before dying. He put so much soul into the one verse that he sang and I just couldn’t help it. He proved that there are no small parts just small actors.
“Tell him not to cry at all / Heaven is wherever I fall”
I just love every single actor in this musical number. Magnificent trio.
listening to the cyrano (2021) soundtrack again. this movie left much to be desired but the soundtrack makes me feral
Elizabeth Bennet: *warns Mr Darcy of the trails she frequents around Rosings in order to avoid running into him*
Mr Darcy, completely misunderstanding her: "I am getting a good grade in courtship, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve."
